Congratulations to Lou Dobbs who received a lifetime achievement award this week during the 3rd annual Emmy Awards for business and financial reporting.

I’m an occasional viewer of Dobbs’ CNN program Lou Dobbs Tonight, which airs at 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

While Dobbs tends to lean a little left and right of center, interjecting his opinions during segments, his show does a good job keeping checks on various issues, including illegal immigration, corporate corruption, and the offshore outsourcing trend, to name a few. His book Exporting America is a good quick read on the subject of offshore outsourcing.
